PHOTOSHOP TUTORIAL (part 4)

OPENING A NEW DOCUMENT

• to open a new document go to file then click "open"

• a dialog box will open .
• choose the image which you want to edit
• click "open"

• the image will be opened as shown below

  

SELECTING A PARTICULAR REGION IN THE OPENED IMAGE

• first tool is rectangular marquee tool 
• click on this tool as shown in figure

• then drag the tool on the image and the region will be selected as shown in the figure

• second tool for selecting a region is lasso tool
• select lasso tool from tool bar as shown in figure

• make the pattern by dragging the lasso tool as shown in figure and release the cursor
• automatically that region will be selected

• third tool for selecting a region according to their colour is magic wand tool
• select magic wand tool as shown in figure 

• click on the coloured region at one place and the whole region will be automatically selected

CROPPING AN IMAGE

• select the crop tool as shown in figure

• select the region which you want to cut 

• right click and press "crop" and the image will be cropped

•  cropped image

TAKING THE COLOUR SAMPLE BY USING EYE DROPPER TOOL

• click on eye dropper tool and then right click on it and then press colour sample tool
• then click anywhere on the image and you will get the colur sample number
• you can use this later on

• spot healing brush is used to heal the coloured or any type of area in the image

• drag the spot healing tool and see the magic

• healed image

• brush tool is used as normal painting brush'
• select the brush tool
• then right click on it
• select the shape, size and hardness or brush

• now draw anything

• click on the colour box below to select the colour of the brush

•  clone stamp tool is used to make stamps 
• you can choose stamps from any where in the program
• to choose a stamp just click alt key and click on the area whose stamp you want to make
• after making the stamp click anywhere on the image and the stamp will be made there

• history brush tool is used to get back the original image but if you save and close the photoshop you will not get benefit of this tool
